Not personally. My Dakota (being sold in Canada) already had
it installed.

On the 3.9/5.2L, the heater assembly is located just on the forward
side of the oil filter. Look for a core hole there. According to FSM:

Prep:
1. disconnect -ive battery cable.
2. drain coolant from rad and cylinder block

Install:
1. thoroughly clean cylinder block core hole and block heater seat
2. insert block heater assembly with element loop pointing down
3. with block heater fully seated, tighten center screw to 17 in. lbs
     torque
4. attach power cord to block heater
4. fill cooling system with recommended coolant
5. start and warm engine. Check for leaks.

Attach the power cord of the block heater with a clip and screw
to the bottom end of the inner pass. fender (along the vertical edge
just forward of the wheelwell is a good spot) or however you want
(e.g. tie strap it to an existing wiring harness in that area).

HTH. Good luck!

Bob
