The
Hayden (and other store-found) relays burn out as the Lincoln fan pulls
about 130amps on initial draw (40-60 after that). We've installed one
on an R/T and it fits beautifully - even installed an aftermarket
overflow reservoir on the shroud (2001 R/T).

With that 130amp pull what dose it do to the battery and alternator? Even at
short start-ups. would adding a cap help with that kind of draw? I've been
thinking of the same for my 4.7L. My Mopar battery doesn't have long to
live, What type of replacement? Would a Optima (?spelling) Do the trick?
