I hear ya. As a kid, I was Dr. Werner Von Braun's regular golf caddy when I
lived in Huntsville, Alabama. I also knew Dr. Eberhard Reese. Von Braun,
(hope I got that spelling right), was the head of NASA and both were German
scientists, two of many who came to found our space program. They would
give me all this really great stuff for my book reports and the like when I
was in school there. It was an amazing time. That is why they still call
Huntsville, "The Rocket City".

I have been quietly sitting on the sidelines about the shuttle till now. I
have been in love with the space race since I was a little kid. I could have
answered 90% of the question posted here for the last few days. Its was my
dad that first showed me my love for the stars & space program.
Yes this is a Dakota board, but as you may remember after the attack on the
United States on 9-11-2001 There was a brief time of decline of posts on the
DML and then the main Topic was about the Attacks. Shortly after that we did
get back to our love here.... Dodge Dakotas! Relax, in a short time we'll
get back to our trucks. In the mean time go hug your truck and give it one
for me!
Sorry for the rant. I'm still trying to deal with the death of my dad last
August. In fact the reason I'm heading to Fl next week is for the unveiling
of his headstone. I'll post a photo of it when I get back, Some of you may
appreciate it.
