WOOHOO, I had it up in the 95 mph range for a bit on the way to work... Then the truck started to move ;)
Yeah, nothing like a 4 wheel drift with big old cup of coffee in the morning LMAO.
I have to say-- the Dunlop Radials Rover 255-55-17s might be the hardest tire on the planet-- impossible to destroy, and the same dry traction characteristics of a brick on concrete-- but in the rain, these things work. They give a slight hint of traction loss right before they give it up completely-- Nice. Accelerating from a dead stop in the wet has always been a challenge in my truck, and the Dunlops proved to be 'wet worthly' this morning-- Got off the 163 at Ash St. and got stopped at the light there immediately on that REALLY nice incline. Was able to simply put my foot 1/4 throttle and leave it there-- A slight spin that continued for a couple of feet-- but the truck moved the entire time then hooked up... I wasn't screwing around, just trying NOT to do a big Kenny B. wheelspin. The drive home should be interesting.
The majority of CA driver's SUCK... They are all reactive rather than proactive drivers (I drive fast quite frequently, and consider myself a fairly alert driver-- if anything I feel I am a little more adaptive to driving conditions than the average joe-- riding motorcycles gives you a much better understanding of what's around you and pending DOOM.. hehe)
