Let's be fair here. All car manufacturers have been known to jack up the
price on vehicles where demand out strips production. Remember what happened
when the Miata first released? Some were selling for $10K over sticker. All
of that was dealer markup and they did it because the consumer was willing
to pay it to get the car. In other areas, there was a waiting list for the
cars that reached up to 6 months long.
