Right! the distributor cap cannot have any moisture in it. Sometimes spray
wd40 in the cap and then wipe it out with a cloth and it will start. I used
to run road service and this fixed many a no start car on a foggy morning.

Subject: DML: Won't start after pressure wash

Hey Guys,

I could use some help. I presssure washed my motor last night while my
truck was running....I've done it probally 50 times...
when done last night I had a slight miss, well now she won't start
cranks fine, fuel in the fuel rail, took the jet chip off just in case,
pulled
the pcm plugs and they are dry. I've got a strong spark from the
coil...at the cap, but a weak spark at the plugs.
I pulled the cap and found some mosture...not a lot, but I guess it
wouldn't take much, I wiped out the cap aand lifted up the plastic plate
where the pick up? is and it was a liitle moist too....I'm gona dry
everything out with a hair dryer and see if it starts.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Bob
