I'm sure it could be done, but I'd bet it would be easier, cheaper, and
better if you just got a factory 4x4.

Subject: DML: Had a close call with a 4X4!
About 3 weeks ago Jennifer totaled her Ford Escort. When I met up with the
insurance adjuster and got talking about my Dak. Told him I regret not get
it as a 4X4. He call me Saturday morning and they just got a rolled 4X4 in
that I could pick up for a song! I went out think about swapping out what I
need to make mine a 4X4! Got out to the grave yard for cars and looked for
that Dak for 45 mins with no luck. Ended up being a Toyota that he saw
coming in :-( Well maybe next time!
Can this be done with a donor truck of the same year, motor, tranny ect...?
Or is this a pipe dream?
