I normally run 87 in my 99. That is unless you have a performance pcm or a
jet chip etc that advances the timing beyond stock.

Subject: DML: Which gas to run in R/T

My brother just got a 2003 R/T, and he's loving it! Hell, I even like it
too, although not as fast as my truck (no flames please, I know, he's
stock, I'm a modded 4.7 yadi-yadi-yah) I do like the new interior and
rear disc brakes.

The dealer told him to run 91 in the R/T, and I balked at this, and got
him to run 89. I told him he'd be fine running 87 in it, especially
since it's in stock form. What do you guys run in your R/T's? Am I
correct in assuming that 87 should be perfectly fine in his truck?

He's also getting 10.5MPG. I know he only has 1,500 on the truck, and I
don't know his driving habits (My guess is it's either on or off!). What
are you all getting in your trucks? His main driving is about 10 miles
to school each morning and back home in the afternoon, and then around
town driving.

Thanks for you're help!

william
