Shelby.

Picked up the Shelby Dakota yesterday. For an 89 it is in good shape. Engine
must have been modified some. Much more powerful than my old 318's. Even
more powerful than my 1969 Plymouth's 318. Has many Edelbrock parts and an
HP coil. No dents just a few "pencil point" dings. Has a bed liner but not a
tail gate protector so there are some paint scrapes. Only rust is a two inch
bubble on the bottom at the back of the cab on the drivers side. I am taking
it to a pro to have the body issues addressed the right way. One thing I
noticed is the tranny under full throttle will shift at or near the red line
except when starting out. It does not want to throw the first to second gear
shift under wide open throttle (at least not under the red line. At half
throttle it will shift at around 4K. Any opinions on the trans.
