Story:
Sometime between 12:30 am and 8:00 am on March 1, 2003, 14-year-old Lindsey
Ryan went missing from her Jones, Indiana residence. She is believed to be
traveling with 56-year-old Terry Drake. Police are unsure at this time
whether Drake has kidnapped the girl or if she has gone with him freely.
Authorities and the Ryan family are very concerned for her safety. Drake
has spent time in prison and was convicted for kidnapping and murder. Due
to Lindsey's age, the police are considering her disappearance an abduction.
Lindsey's parents called authorities after having to break in her bedroom
door. It was clear that she had climbed out the window. Several items were
missing from the house, including $4,000 and a number of firearms. Drake is
believed to be driving a white Dodge Dakota pick-up truck with Indiana
registration 406211A.
Drake and Lindsey met through their church and are believed to have been
carrying on an internet relationship. The hard drive of the computer she
used has been erased. But friends of Lindsey's have come forward telling
the family that there had indeed been a relationship. Since the
disappearance, there have been sightings in several locations in the
southwest, including California. Reports have indicated that the girl may
have died her hair black.
