I did that when i pulled my brothers ram out of the sand..
They just don't make um like they use to. And i was useing
a rope, not a chain.

>Ok , everyone can call me dumb, but just this once.... please. I did
>something dumb last weekend. I helped a neighbor drop a small maple tree (
>about 16 inches in diameter) in his front yard. No, I didn't drop it of the
>truck and no I didn't yank the bumper to pieces by having a safety line
>tied off to the truck when the tree dropped. My sin was worse. After the
>tree was down, cut into stove lengths and mostly carted away by another
>neighbor with a fire place, I started helping dig and pull out some if the
>roots. By now you have guessed what I did. Using the truck bumper ( I know,
>I know, hush now) and a logging chain (Hush I said!) I attached a root I
>thought was loose enough from the ground to be pulled out. Unfortunately,
>for my bumper, it was not and now the ball on the bumper hitch points a bit

>slightly resemble an inverted "V". Now, my question is this, is there

>having bumper and is willing to part with it, please let me know.
