Uh... first off, check your oil more frequently...

Second... it might be a little excessive consumption... My '92 V6 will
consume a quart over the course of an oil change interval (5000kms). As in,
at 5000km I would need to put in a quart to continue driving safely, but I'm
gonna be changing the oil, so I don't.
