Te only other thing I can think of is to have the ignition system
checked. My '96 did that. When the relay goes bad it will get a little
hotter than it should and when it does it kills the motor. Once the
relay cools down the truck will start again. When my truck did it, it
only threw a code the first couple of times and then it never did again.
You could crank until the battery is dead when that thing goes. Might be
worth having a mechanic or the dealer look at it.

After checking the "splice", replacing the battery, coil, pick-up thingy
(technical term) under the rotor, the @$*# truck still behaves the same!
Starts right up and drives great untill it just dies. Will crank but
will
not start. Plenty of fuel pressure at the rails. Wait about an hour and
it
starts back up and drives away as if it didn't have a care in the world.
This last time it died I noticed that I am not getting the check engine
light when I turn the key. All other dash lights come on, oil, brake,
etc.
but no check engine. I was going to check again for any codes but.....
Any other ideas?
