As someone else who's preparing to jump ship (I just have to get my
resume finished and "out there") - it's really bad market right now.
People WILL take your job responisbilities for less money. Threatening
to leave may put you out of work early or in a really, really bad spot
at the current job. Make sure you have a sure thing elsewhere before
telling anyone you're leaving.
