so the stock airhat has a 3.75 x 2.00" opening. the cross-sectional
area is
7.50 sq. in. so I ought to be able to use either

    one (1) 3" ID hose (x-sect area = 7.069 sq in.)
           or
two (2) 2.25" ID hoses (x-sect area for one hose is 3.976 sq in)

seems like two 2.25" ID hoses is little more area.

what do those home brew kits use?
