     The 7/70 warranty thing was much more marketing driven than having
anything to do with "new and improved" driveline parts from the 02 models
onward. The implication the manufacturer wants to plant in the truck buyer's
mind is that long and generous warranties "must be" based upon a quality
product that is clearly capable of giving the average owner that kind of
trouble-free service. Chrysler's computers must have given management a
green light regarding warranty covered driveline repair frequencies or they
would never have taken such a potentially costly gamble to their bottom line.
