Hi
I ran the first points race yesterday at TMP in Cayuga, Ontario.
Good news is that, in time trial #3, I came within 1/100ths of my pb
even though I had to lift and feather the pedal 20 or so feet in the
speed trap so I wouldn't bang into the rev limiter (~ 6000 rpm)
with my gear/tire size setup ... 14.323 @ 97.06. I hit the limiter
anyway :-( Jon, I'm going to have to get over there and get those
28" drag tires :-)
Bad news is that I went out in round 1 :-( I lined up against a 17.85
to my 14.50. As it turned out, I had the edge in reaction time,
.627 to .655, so it was my race to lose. I ended up handing him
a .09 win as I lifted far too early and by too much :-(
Oh well, live and learn BUT how do I live down losing to an Explorer :-)
Be gentle f anyone has the urge to reply :-)
Bob
