On my 2000 Durango the electric comes on for max A/C, A/C, Bi-level and the
defrost setting. This is to help prevent the the engine from getting warm
to fast and allowing the viscious to kick in. With the two speed Viper fan
an idea, not sure how good it is, would be to hook the low speed in to the
current electric fan harness and the high speed on a thermostat. Again not
sure how well this would work since the viscious fan does pull some air even
before it kicks in. This at least is how I'm thinkinf of trying it if I
ever get my hands on a Viper fan.
