Gabe,
I just did the whole rear end Monday, new carrier, bearings & 3.92
ring&Pinion.
I went back with Amsoil series 2000 75w90 and added 5 oz. of friction
modifier. Amsoil Series 2000 already has a friction modifier in it but I
still added some.
I've got a friend that has a big ol' Ferd power stroke diesel with
limited slip rear end and has got 120,000 miles on the rear end lube and has
never changed it. He is a mechanic and won't run anything but Amsoil in the
rear.
I also put Redline in the 5 speed and man is it quieter now. Bill
