Hot damn! Finally got my new Dakota. My email address explains most of
it. Couple things about it don't seem right. The first is an obvious
one. The passenger rear seat doesn't fold up oproperly. It's like the
hinges arent attatched to the wall. Dealer knows about and I'll have to
take it in to get looked at. The scond is the armrest on the bench seat.
Son of a bitch. I thought they all came with the business console. Where
that center armrest opens up and you can put shit into. Does anyone
hyave information on why that's an option. I saw nothing describing it
as such when I was checking it out prior to purchase. I have the SLT.
The truck is just about fully loaded. And I saw trucks on the lot that
had it. That's why I made the decision to get the bench seats over the
concole deal. Also, the third thing I noticed was that I didn't have a
light under the hood? Wtf! Do they all come like that? Oh. A fourth item
is I think the brakes. Whenever I am going backwards, they queak. As if
I was only slightly in conctact with the discs and rolling. But my foot
isn't on the pedal. And it happens with the truck in gear and out of gear.
Here's my wallop of a story. I go to the dealer to check it out and make
sure everything is as ordered. I take it for a test spin and I'm fooling
with the 4wd at a stop light. I put it in 4LO. The light turns green and
I'm having problems going forward. So everyone is pissed off anf
honking. I am inching around the corner and some lady behind me is
honking and fucking bumps the truck@!@E!#$!!!!!! Holy shit. I couldn't
belive that she bumped me. So I finally get back into 2WD and drive a
little bit down the road and pull over thinking she'll do the same. The
whore flew past me! Damn! I'm not that good on the stick. So I take off
after her. All I want is that plate number. We roll up to a red light,
she pulles into the Left turn lane. Light turns green b4 we both stop
and she tears off infront of oncoming traffic and I can't follow her.
She ducks into an apartment complex and fucking loses me! Man I was
pissed! No damage thank god. I didn't even pay for the thing yet. If she
lives in that developement, she's caught, cause I'll be cruising that
place looking for her ride. Not quite sure what it was. But the plate
started with M. :D
