New PB but ...

I got myself a new pb today of 14.30 sec. (previous pb of 14.31)
but I did it in the first round of eliminations (arghhh!).

My opponent was an IROC with a 13.43 dial to my 14.55. We
had run against each other in a time trial ... he with a 13.45 @
103.06 with a rt of .532 to my 15.24@84.10 with a rt of .574.
My tranny would not shift into 3rd, did the fuel cut-off a number
of times and went into OD even though it was set to OFF. The
only other thing that the truck did not do was put itself into PARK!

Anyway, I got him on the light with a .524 to his .553 (damn, this
kid is good!). After the 1/8th, I watched him pull on me steadily.
When I entered the speed traps, I began whomping (that's what
it's called in Ray B.'s region of OH). Being of a more delicate
nature, I call it feathering :-) ... getting the pedal off the metal
and doing a guesstimate, controlled slow-down. When he was
at my rear wheel well, I put it down again to cross ahead of him.
He broke out with a 13.34 @ 103.78. I broke out A LOT more
with a 14.30@95.52.

Back to the drawing boards:-) Must learn how to dial inside of
.25 sec of what I run or the guys at the track will begin to think
that I'm senile :-) but you people already know that.

Points to date: goose eggs (CDN, that is).

Bob
