Actually, the rating differs quite far depending on the specs. The newer dak's (around 2000 or so) aren't rated as high as the 97's - 99's. From what I've seen, the highest rating goes to the combination I have: 3.52 gears, V8, CC, 2wd. Calculate Gross wate minus what it really weighs, comes out to 2100 lbs. 4WD is heavier, so you lose 200 lbs or so. RC's don't have as stiff as a suspension cause they're lighter, so most of those are in the 1250-1450 range I believe. Although, most of these Dakotas can handle 3000lbs or so for a little while, but do it for long, and might find it sagging on ya (or might go sliding through a traffic light!). Oh yeah, QC's bringing up the rear as most of those I believe are 500-750 lbs payload (I think??)
