Gotta ask myself where my head is at... If I had thought to check the
spark plugs before I did allll that work - I would have saved myself
lots of time and money.
In my own defence I didnt have any idea the engine was so bad off,
before I replaced the timing chain. I didn't discover the ugly stuff
until after.
I pulled the plugs when I was going to check the compression - - all six
had heavy soot deposits and were coated in oil. Rings are all shot. No
idea what to do now... looks less and less like I will be at the BBQ.
(sigh)
