Bill Davis team is the last team in Winston Cup that can afford losing
the financial commitment that Dodge gives its factory teams. They now
have to buy their Dodge stuff instead of getting it for free, cannot use
the windtunnel, and all the stuff that Ganassi and Penske come up with
and Dodge's technical info is not available.
Heck, Davis had a heck of a time even trying to find a sponsor for his
Busch team that Scott Wimmer was driving for. Wimmer was a hot rookie
that won 2 races near the end of the year and was just completely on fire.
Maybe he ought to hire Todd Bodine, who hasnt had a sponsor in Busch
until just a few weeks ago, even though he was leading the point standings.
