Oops, I was unclear, 13.3 is my average MPG, not gallons in the tank.
That's averaged since January (92% in-town driving) The only higher numbers
came when I was on the road, but the highest was 17 for a tank, and
statistically it didn't help my average much.

If your average is 13.3 then by definition some of your tankfulls are less
and some more than that. I don't know where you live but here in No Calif
we
continue to be the victim of oil company greed. Before the gas price runup
last
winter we had 5 straight years with the worst gas pump prices in the 48
states. In my area I think the highest 87-national brand regular got was in
the
$2.25 to 2.35 range. Right now it's down to about $1.70 which is about
where
we were before the winter runup.
How would you like to be averaging 13mpg and paying these prices?
Calif mandates different gas formulas than any other state in an effort to
deal with our air polution. What is so unfair is that the same oil company
will
sell their product in the greater LA area for $1.40 that they get in No
Calif
at $1.80. Is it any wonder the most profitable corporations in the world
right now are the major American oil companies?
