Here's an idea I worked out.

If you don't want to use this*, maybe it will give you some ideas for
your own. This was done in Illustrator, so it could be cut in vinyl.

I totally agree, but the second four can't be the correct direction, or

rams head would not work, a catch 22.
My orignal design had no lettering, but I added it to finish off some of
the
outlines for the horns and such. I also don't like the X much, it is
way to
busy.
The first time I started with real rams head like design and made it
into a
crude 4X4, this time I think I will start with a 4X4 and make it into a
crude
rams head.
