Which fumoto valve?

I'm going to be doing my first "at home" oil change next weekend and
plan on installing a Fumoto valve. According to the DML FAQ, the F106
is the right one to use for '99s and up. 2 questions:

#1 - is it OK to use one of these knowing it'll get dragged through
Jon's mud?
#2 - Which kit to get? http://www.fumotovalve.com/merchant.cfm?id=240&step=2
