Same thing happened with our '97 Intrepid - turned out to be the wire from
the battery to the relay box went bad. Shaking the harness worked for a
while, but it soon gave up the ghost until I disconnected then reconnected
the wire. I had the dealer replace the wire, and since it was under warranty
it was $50, and haven't had a problem since. My Dak (2000 3.9L V6) has a
simlar setup, so that may be another thing to check.
