man... when the first of these L's came out, i saw one on a dealership lot.
it had been taken as a trade-in (apparently Chrysler had approved the trade
for R&D) for a new R/T (1999). that L had it's hood in the bed, as the
supercharger had failed and blown it off... it was impressive to see. the
guy tried to get Ford to warranty the damage, but they said he was racing
(he claims he was driving on the highway) and left him high and dry. he
went with the R/T with the sole goal of being faster than an L.
it was an impressive site... i'd have loved to get some pics of that.

was the only one not supercharged. And once you do, it's as fast if not
faster than the other 2 (not to forget better looking, and cheaper then the
lightning, but don't know the price of the toy). Course, SRT-10 blows them
all away (stock), and it's not supercharged..hehe.. Course, it's close to
double the price of the lightning.

Yup, that's where I'll be at by the end of the week, looks and a
supercharger to boot ;) Plus some other boltons that should make me faster
than a stock Lightning, and still for less money. Although, I do like the
L's, and the fact that they have a warranty to go with their blower, where
as I'll be SOL if anything goes wrong. But the Dakota still wins in the
looks dept as far as I'm concerned.
