I just wanted to post an FYI - I had mentioned before that if
more than a couple of people were planning to bring their own
computers, laptops, etc. to the BBQ, I would need someone to bring
a spare hub. This is no longer the case. I picked up a couple
of 10 mbit hubs for about $7 each. :-) In case anyone else
wants one - I got 'em from www.bgmicro.com. They are a Compaq
hub in a nice solid metal case, 8 ports, one of which can be
used as an uplink, partition and bandwidth utilization lights
and a BNC connector. They are about $5 each, and the power
supplies (if you need them) are about $2. A great deal if you
haven't upgraded to 100 mbit yet. (I haven't...)
So, we should have plenty of ports to plug into, although if
you are bringing a PC or laptop, do be sure to bring your own
ethernet cable since I don't have any extras. I will also
have an 802.11b/g access point running for anyone with wireless
capabilities.
