I decided just to get everything through my Dodge Dealer. One problem. The
parts manager asks whether it was a 4 or 6 cylinder 89 Dakota. I inform him
that it is a Shelby V8. He says no such animal and will not order the parts
unless I give him the VIN. My experience has been that dealer employees are
the least knowledgeable regarding the history of their own vehicles. Before
anyone gets offended I worked for a dealer in college.
