thanks all for the pointers.

does anyone believe, as i do, that the black* polyethylene material that
some of these looms is made of is not going to withstand the engine temps.
especially near (about 5") the headers while engine is under load (i.e. towing ). and
that this material is intended for home stereo / computer cables. its rating is to 178F
 ( i dont know how JCWhitney can say its rated to 200F )

I would like to locate Panduits "heat stabilized black nylon" version. rated to 248F
or that high temperature green polypropylene looms that JCWhitney is selling.

* sometimes not black but red, grey and blue. etc. etc.
