Hi Andy
Poly bushings are available for your factory bars. A number of vendors
make them some of which will fit on your factory brackets however others due
to being taller than your original rubber ones will require the poly bushing
mfgr's brackets. If you replace both the mounting bushings and the end link
bushings with poly you will definitely notice an improved directional stability
on your F&R original bars. If you go to a larger diameter after mkt F&R bar
both w/all poly mounts you will notice a substantial difference in handling but
at the cost of a more abrupt ride, especially on uneven road surfaces where
the new stiffer F&R bars are literally trying to iron out the road and make it
level.
Shocks of course have little to do with directional stability except in
the case of shocks so badly worn that they essentially have little or no
control left in them. All a shock is supposed to do is to control rebound. It
neither holds the vehicle up (springs do that) nor does it make a material
difference in body lean (stabilizer bars do that).
