the ball joints are the common dakota problem. the shocks were old and beat
up, and the bushings were all going bad (another common problem, i've heard,
because they sit too close to the engine, and the rubber melts and rots).

hey, i'm not complaining about having to spend it, i just wanted to spread
the word of what i had done.
