I'm pretty sure that a vandalism claim falls in the same category with acts
of god and you're not held at fault. Might want to check with your
insurance though, b/c you still have to cover the deductable. If you're
friends deductable is $500 like most people's is, then he'll have reported
it to the insurance and have to pay for all of it himself anyway. Might be
cheaper not to report it since it's something so inexpensive. (to the
insurance)
