Can you describe the noise?
"Pinging", clattering, knocking, etc.
You may also want to check for a blown belly pan (plenum plate gasket)
by removing the airhat (engine OFF), craking the TB blades wide open,
and looking into the manifold with a flashlight (especially towards the
rear/passenger side). Look for any oil puddles or excessive oil
coating.
Other option can be a cracked head (hopefully not...but it is rather
common).

Please help make my Dak feel better. It has the following symptoms; 1.
Sputtering under load, 2. Serious lack of power, 3. Substandard gas
mileage, 4. Appears to not be running on all cyclinders (not confirmed),
5. Obnoxious noise.
So far I have changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, exhaust sytem and
fuel filter. Checked fuel pressure, mainfold vacuum. I don't know
what's next to do!
Can someone please help me!!!!
