I took a few minutes to browse the RO's at work and did find a few
Dakota's with broken shock bolts. Here's the "Dealership" fix:

Retap/Clean threads, install new bolts with locktight Blue, torque to
80ft.lbs.

Aaron,

Sorry it took me awhile to see this I was out of town for the weekend. I

did snap several bolts while using the 9000's. A total of 7, 4 on the
drivers side and 3 on the passenger side. The first time they broke on
each
side they did look shiny which as bernd said would indicate being
over-torqued. However Bob had the same problem and I am fairly certain
he
torqued his bolts down correctly. Bob also replaced the bolt with a
grade 8
bolt and that snapped on him. My only cure after going through 2 sets
of
9000's was to switch to another shock. I went with the Monroe Sesnatrac
and
haven't had any problems since. I was never able to find out the cause
of
why they were snapping. Perhaps I am cursed ( I wont say the name).
