I refilled with Mobil 1 last oil change, and I must say that I am
impressed. I'm coming up on 5000kms, and the amount of consumption is
down by 30-50%, by my reckoning. The oil also appears much cleaner,
which is interesting, although possibly attributable to the fact that I
have been running a lot of highway miles over the course of this oil
change interval. I also noticed a slight improvement in gas mileage,
although that's more a gut feeling than empirical fact.
The point of all this? If anyone is thinking "hmmm, should I switch to
synthetic?" I say do it.
