If yo uhave 1/4", it's time for new u-joints. Everything should feel
rock solid by hand... no movement at all.

how do you check u-joints again?

is it: park the truck with blocks behind wheels, put trany in
neutral
get under the truck and twist the drive shaft by hand.

or did i miss something?

by the way, how much play should i see. nothing or 1/4" if staring
at
a point on the drive shaft.

thanks!!!
