Check Chrysler Parts for oil for viper engines, Viper on can, synthetic oil
manufactured for Chrysler by Mobil. Mobil has the market cornered with
Daimler Chrysler and GM. I might bring a V10 Ram to Daktoberfest to sell
it. Mobil 1 is a very good quality oil that the average guy can pay the
price $28.95 cdn at retail stores 4 litres, I've been getting Amsoil 10-40
$7.95 per litre. The pro's and cons are how you drive the vehicle and a few
dollars more if you look for Red Line Performance or you are stuck in a 2 hr
traffic jam stop and go. Ticking sounds in engines due lubrication and
cooling come from being too frugal with money for the truck, then go and
spend it for a burger and fries. Speaking of ticking sounds! Our friend with
the suspected header leak might try filling a windex bottle with dish soap -
water mixture and spray it on the joint points of Headers, intake manifold
etc. when the engine is Cold ! start engine and look for bubbles indicating
leaks -air- or vapour out exhaust for intake leak.

PS: Jon Interested in a V10 Ram Short Box, Colour Black to add to the
fleet?
