Maybe if you did a little junkyard spelunking? The TransGo shift kit would
run you about $120, the Mopar TC would be around $180. As to what kind of
money goes into rebuilding / beefing up a A-518 or 46RE, I dunno - AAMCO?

I was hoping more people would hop in on this thread - a low dollar / high
performance tranny setup sounds like a very interesting project...
