Removing front hub from '98 4X4?

I have a question for those of you who have replaced the lower ball joints
yourself. Is there any way to get the 32mm nut off of the hub without an
impact wrench? I haven't tried a looooong cheater bar yet, but it's next on
my list of things to try. I just figured I'd ask those who have done this
job already before I put forth a whole bunch more effort.
