The 426 Hemi will fit in a GEN III Dakota engine compartment, this swap has
already been done!

Hot Rod Magazine and Rad Rides by Troy of Manteno ILL have built one such
Animal a few years back, I believe that Rad Rides still has the
information and schematics for the mounts, front crossmember, and steering
modifications needed to make everything work.

They were also able to retain all the stock creature comforts, AC,PS,CRUISE
CONTROL,EFI, ETC. they also retained a stock like underhood appearance.

I also think that the Mopar Performance Crate Motor installation manual
detailed this swap and that MP had originally planned to offer a kit to
install the Hemi in a GEN III Dakota.
