I found something to be funny in the 01 FSM. Everyone who has chimed in
about ball joints on the DML has said that there are no zerk fitting on the
lower ball joints, from what I have seen so far. I haven't climbed under my
truck to take a look myself, been too lazy lately, so I'm taking your words
for it. The paragraph below is out of the 01 FSM, I think someone at DC is
F&^*ing with us.
"The steering knuckles turn (pivot) on ball joints. The
upper ball joint is riveted to the outboard portion of
the suspension arm and lubricated for life. The lower
ball joint is pressed into the lower suspension arm
and requires lubrication."
Just thought you all might get a kick out of it.
