hit my local 4x4 shop this afternoon - the CV is completely shot and
repair would be chopping off the end of the driveshaft and welding on a
new 1310.
I picked up a used shaft off a '97 from my local full service junkyard
for $85. Milo at Hooze 4x4 told me it'd be around two bills to put an
all-new 1310 on my existing shaft.
haven't gotten anything else done today, but oh well.
and since I forgot to mention it before - many thanks to Anne for the
mechanic's gloves (yay useful christmas presents). they've saved at
least 3 knuckles so far =)
