That thought Occurred to me too.......

The 305's are the same height as the 275's due to the aspect ratio
difference.

The 305's are about a 1.25" wider, I was thinking that these would help my
traction issues at the track.

As far as the air pressure and alignment.....I maintain a 32-35 psi
pressure at all 4 corners. (tires wear perfectly even)I also have the
alignment checked 1 a year and so far only minimal toe setting have been
needed.

But I think I'm gonna stick with the size I'm running........
