Subject: DML: Question about 4wd in new Durango

OK...we just got that 2003 Durango a month ago or so...but still have not
done any serious 4wd in it. It seems to have the simple 4wd, with 2WD, then
4-LOCK. 4--lock locks the front and rear together, and your not stupposed to
go fast at all in it.

Our question though is where the LED's are on the switch...they are not dual
colored are they? Caus the 2WD one is green, while when you switch to 4LOCK,
its yellow-orange. In the owners manual, it says that to know its on is when
the LED stops blinking, and if there is a problem, it blinks and then does a
SERVICE 4WD light on the dash...none of this. Im just curious....are
everyone's yellow like that?

And is there a way to really test the 4WD, or at least see what its like? We
had a little snow last night, and can find some gravel somewhere to test out
in too.

Lastly...the manual states that you can switch while rolling, or while
stopped. Our dealer said to do it while rolling, which is fine with us. What
is the recommended speed to switch though...like 5 miles an hour with it
idling?

jon
