The "buzzing" is caused by a work out actuator motor. The linkages don't
bend unless someone has seriously messed up the door latch or lock (or used
a slim-jim in the wrong way).

I don't know either, but my drivers side one went out about a year ago as
well. Not a cheap thing to have fixed, either. Of course, most of the cost
was in the labor -- I took one look at the space I'd have to work with and
decided that my time (and sanity) was more valuable...
If it's just buzzing now (and not making a more horrible noise like mine
was), you might want to pull the door panel and just make sure that all of
the linkages are securely attached. Something simple like that could cause
the actuator to wear out a lot faster.
