i work for a supplier that does the GC rear ladder assembly. i received
this e-mail the other day from a DCX guy from an arizona drive. sounds like
a lot of new exciting stuff coming out soon...

"Dear APVPT Teammates,

As many of you know, last Thursday and Friday, our senior management had
the chance to evaluate our portfolio of new products in and around the
Arizona Proving Ground. While there were over 50 vehicles in the ride, of
course the most important were yours ... the LX S2s, the WK S0s and the KJ
Diesel S0.

The results were simply outstanding! Your products especially shone. The
300 & Magnums gave a lift to all, as every engine and model combination
exhibited poised performance, grace and character. The Grand Cherokees
wowed the audience off road and gave exciting promise on road as well.
Both the LX and WK diesels set new levels of diesel NVH performance and
engendered delight with seemingly endless torque & performance.

The only disappointment was the KJ domestic diesel S0, which we pulled from
the dance due to emissions and NVH issues (we'll have a follow up
appointment with the Executive Committee in February, and I expect by then
to be able to include Liberty diesel in the happy category).

I know and appreciate the effort, time and personal commitment that enabled
this demonstration of product excellence and I not only want to thank you,
but I want you to feel good about what you're achieving. Our never ending
pursuit of perfection means we'll never be done, never be satisfied, and
heaven knows the list of launch issues and development PIECES remains
daunting - but every member of this extended team should be energized,
excited and rewarded by the performance of the vehicles you work on each
and every day.

Further, you should be excited about the future new product dependent
fortunes of our company, based on the incredible array of standout products
assembled for the show. I'm obviously biased about ours, but as the
parade of PT Cruiser Convertibles, Minivans with diesels and "Stow & Go"
seating, the new Dakota Pickup, Wrangler Unlimited, Ram Power Wagon and SRT
10, 300C SRT 8 (500+ HP!), new Viper, Crossfire Roadster and SRT 6 Coupe,
in addition to Pacifica and Durango, 300, Magnum, and Grand Cherokee, it
was clear that every corner of the Chrysler Group Product Development
enterprise is operating with unprecedented brilliance.

I know you're working hard...we all are. Just know that your investment is
paying off. Congratulations for how far we've come, thank you for all
you've done, and keep pouring the coal to it!

Craig"

we are also making the B-pillar for the dakota. but i don't work on that,
just the jeep. i will try and find out when launch is. probably this
summer... should be a fun year coming up...
