I believe the change occured when they went from
TBI to MPI. He should have MPI, therefore it is the
filter on the bottom of the pump housing. About 24
bucks at the stealer. Also the bulb on the top of the
housing is the pressure regulator\filter combo. It can be changed out
without removing the pump.
Trust me on this, It happened to me exactly as he
said. Two years ago when I bought my '95 Sport
from a little lot up north of Sacramento. his filter is
totally plugged and all he is getting is through the
little riser pipe at the bottom of the pump.
